Choose a treatment category below and explore the most common questions our patients ask before starting care.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is typically identified by persistent difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. Common symptoms include:
  • Difficulty getting an erection when desired.
  • Inability to sustain an erection throughout sexual activity.
  • A noticeable decrease in overall sexual desire or libido.
The timeline for improvement depends on the underlying cause and the chosen treatment. While some treatments, like Trimix, work within minutes, other medications take effect within an hour. In contrast, long-term regenerative therapies, such as Stem Cell Therapy or acoustic wave treatments, may require several weeks to show full results, as they address the root vascular issues.
Yes, most cases of ED are highly treatable. At IUVENTUS MEDICAL CENTER, we focus on identifying if the cause is physical, psychological, or hormonal to provide a comprehensive treatment plan that restores long-term function.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” cure, but clinical studies show high success rates for customized combination therapies. We often recommend a mix of acoustic wave therapy, hormone optimization, and lifestyle changes for the most sustainable results.
The safest approach is a non-invasive treatment under medical supervision. Non-surgical options such as PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and shockwave therapy are popular because they use the body's natural healing processes with minimal risk of side effects. For patients seeking the most powerful results, Trimix injection therapy is often considered the most effective medical treatment, providing a reliable response even when oral medications fail.
While ED becomes more common with age, it is not considered an inevitable part of aging. It is a medical condition that often serves as an early warning sign for other health issues, such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
ED is often caused by physical factors that restrict blood flow or damage nerves, such as heart disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes, and high cholesterol. It can also be a common side effect following prostate removal or other pelvic surgeries. Additionally, ED can be triggered by hormonal imbalances, obesity, stress, anxiety, or certain prescription medications.
Treatments range from lifestyle modifications to advanced medical therapies. Common options at our Las Vegas clinic include:
  • Oral Medications: Popular first-line defenses.
  • Trimix Therapy: Highly effective for those who don’t respond to pills.
  • Regenerative Medicine: Stem Cell Therapy and PRP (P-Shot) to repair tissue.
  • Acoustic Wave Therapy: Non-invasive sound waves to improve blood flow.
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy: Correcting low testosterone levels.
While erectile dysfunction itself does not directly cause infertility (the inability to produce viable sperm), it acts as a significant physical barrier to natural conception. If hormonal imbalances like Low-T are causing your ED, they may also be affecting your sperm count. Addressing the root cause can often improve both sexual function and reproductive health.
“Impotence” is an older, broader term that carries a negative stigma. Today, medical professionals prefer Erectile Dysfunction (ED), which specifically refers to the regular difficulty of achieving or maintaining an erection. Using more precise clinical terms helps us focus on the specific vascular, hormonal or neurological causes during your consultation.
Most ED treatments are well-tolerated, but some patients may experience mild side effects like headaches, flushing, or nasal congestion. Because we specialize in customized programs like Trimix and regenerative therapies, we can often find alternatives that provide maximum results with significantly fewer side effects than standard oral medications.
Treatment costs vary based on the customized plan—whether it involves Trimix, Stem Cell Therapy, or acoustic waves. We provide transparent pricing and special offers during your initial consultation to ensure you find a solution that fits your budget.
Many diagnostic tests and hormone evaluations may be covered, but specific regenerative treatments are often considered elective. Our team at IUVENTUS MEDICAL CENTER can help you navigate your coverage options and provides flexible payment plans.
Some patients experience immediate results with Trimix therapy, while regenerative treatments like the PRP-Shot typically show peak results over several weeks as tissue repairs. We monitor your progress closely to ensure you are meeting your goals.
Your first visit is a private, professional evaluation where we review your medical history, perform necessary diagnostics, and discuss your goals. We prioritize a comfortable environment at our Las Vegas clinics to develop a plan tailored to your needs.
Semaglutide is an FDA-approved medication originally developed to manage Type 2 diabetes. It belongs to a class of drugs called GLP-1 receptor agonists. Because of its significant impact on appetite and weight management, it is now widely used as a highly effective weight loss treatment for adults who are overweight or obese.
Semaglutide mimics a natural hormone in your body called GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1). This hormone targets the areas of the brain that regulate appetite and food intake. By mimicking this hormone, Semaglutide:
  • Increases feelings of fullness, so you eat less.
  • Slows down gastric emptying, helping you feel satisfied for longer after a meal.
  • Reduces food cravings, making it easier to stick to a healthy diet.
At IUVENTUS MEDICAL CENTER, we typically recommend Semaglutide for:
  • Adults with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or higher.
  • Adults with a BMI of 27 or higher who also have at least
one weight-related medical condition, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or Type 2 diabetes.
Clinical studies have shown that, when combined with diet and exercise, patients taking Semaglutide can lose an average of 15% to 20% of their body weight over 68 weeks. Individual results vary based on your starting weight and lifestyle habits.
Yes. While it was initially for diabetes, the FDA has approved specific brands of Semaglutide (like Wegovy) specifically for chronic weight management in adults without diabetes.
Semaglutide is a once-weekly subcutaneous injection (a small shot under the skin). It can be self-administered in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Our team will provide full training to ensure you are comfortable with the process. Additionally, for your convenience, you may also choose to visit our clinic weekly to have our medical staff administer the injection for you
Most patients experience mild to moderate side effectsas their body adjusts to the medication, including:
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Stomach pain or bloating
  • Fatigue or headache
Pro Tip: To minimize nausea, we recommend starting at a low dose and gradually increasing it, staying well-hydrated, and eating smaller, bland meals.
While there are no “forbidden” foods, Semaglutide works best when paired with a nutrient-dense, balanced diet and regular physical activity. We recommend avoiding high-fat or greasy foods initially, as they can worsen nausea.
You should not use Semaglutide if you or anyone in your family has ever had a type of thyroid cancer called medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or if you haveMultiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). It is also not recommended for those with a history of pancreatitis.
While everyone’s body responds differently, many patients notice a decrease in appetite and fewer food cravings within the first week or two. Measurable weight loss on the scale typically begins around weeks 3 to 4 as your body adjusts to the medication. Significant progress is usually seen between weeks 8 and 12, especially as you reach your optimal maintenance dose.
There are no official prohibitions against alcohol consumptionwhile on Semaglutide, but moderation is key. We recommend limiting intake because:
If you miss a dose of Semaglutide, the protocol depends on how much time has passed:
  • Within 5 Days: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember, then return to your normal schedule.
  • More than 5 Days: Skip the missed dose and wait for your next regularly scheduled injection day.
  • Two or More Weeks: If you miss two consecutive doses, contact our medical team before restarting, as we may need to adjust your dosage to avoid gastrointestinal upset.
To help us create the safest and most effective weight loss plan for you, please review this preparation checklist before your scheduled appointment:
  • Gather Your Medical History: Be ready to discuss any past medical conditions, surgeries, and allergies.
  • List Your Current Medications: Bring a complete list of all prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, and supplements you are currently taking.
  • Note Your Weight Loss Journey: Think about previous weight loss attempts and your specific long-term goals.
  • Hydrate Early: Increase your water intake significantly in the 48 hours leading up to your appointment to help manage potential digestive side effects.
  • Eat Mindfully: Transitioning to smaller, high-fiber, and lean-protein meals a few days before starting can help your body adjust more smoothly.
  • Prepare Your Questions: Write down any concerns about side effects, the weekly injection process, or how the medication will fit into your lifestyle.
Testosterone is a sex hormone that plays important roles in the body. Hypogonadism is the medical term used to describe low testosterone in men. There are two causes of hypogonadism. Low testosterone can also occur when there is a defect in your testes and they can’t make levels of testosterone in the normal range. This is known as primary hypogonadism. There could be a signaling problem between your brain and testes that is causing the production of testosterone to drop too low. So if the brain feels that there is too much testosterone in the body, it can signal the testes to cut production, this is known as secondary hypogonadism.
During your initial visit one of our professionally trained medical personnel will take a sample of your blood to determine your testosterone level. Blood samples are run by an independent national recognized laboratory.

Some patients could experience one or more of the following side effects:
  • Infertility: Testosterone therapy down regulates production of a man's sperm. Ensure you are upfront with your desire for children with your medical provider, and be sure to discuss the situation with your spouse/partner if appropriate.

  • Prostate effects: If you have an enlarged prostate, testosterone may worsen your symptoms, particularly if you are more than 50 years of age. If you have a history of prostate cancer, you cannot receive testosterone therapy without prior clearance from the urologist who is overseeing your care.
  • Skin reactions: Acne, oily skin, increased body hair and flushing have been reported. These side effects are not very common, but when/if they occur, they are often transient.
  • Sleep apnea: This is a condition that disrupts breathing during sleep, and if already present, may be worsened by the use of testosterone therapy. If you snore or suspect you may have sleep apnea, be sure to talk to your medical provider about the situation. Considering a sleep study for further evaluation may be appropriate prior to starting therapy.
  • Fluid retention: Although uncommon, you must use caution if you have a history of heart failure or kidney disease.
Cost vary depending on your levels and type of treatment, the introductory special pricing is $149 and Testosterone Therapy averages $200 per month.

Trimix is a compounded combination of three drugs that is traditionally used to efficiently treat erectile dysfunction and occasionally premature ejaculation. The three drugs are alprostadil (prostaglandin), phentolamine and papaverine. The combination is usually applied only 10 minutes prior to sexual intercourse and is intended to cause vasodilation (expansion of the blood vessels) to help with erectile dysfunction.
Conventional ED medications take too long to start working and are not safe for all men. With Trimix most patients can achieve an erection usually within 10 minutes and can sustain an erection for up to 2 hours, if desired. Remember Trimix is a Fully Customizable Medication that could be tailored by the pharmacy at the clinician’s request to meet a patient’s specific needs of rigidity and length of time of erection.
